Stay Warm With NewAir AH-450 Space Heater

There's something magical about curling up in front of a fire. Alone, with a good book and a cup of tea; snuggling with someone else and a glass of wine; a big group of people, playing a game and laughing, while sipping hot cider. Sometimes, though, a fire isn't available. Then, though less picturesque, getting comfy near a space heater is a very welcome substitute. The NewAir AH-450 Space Heater doesn't come with crackling flames, but it provides fantastic warmth.

Fires can be over-rated anyway. Smoke, lugging firewood, the crash of a log just as you're drifting off... In space heaters you can look for quiet and piece. The NewAir runs quietly, without needing to use a fan to distribute the heat. We've tried out bigger, more expensive heating systems that have multiple actions (like also serving as an air conditioner), but what about when you just want something simple and affordable to heat the place up? At $86 on amazon it seems like quite a bargain.

The NewAir 450 looks lovely and old-fashioned, but comes with some quite modern touches, including a programmable thermostat. Unlike classic oil heaters, this one doesn't need to be refilled, or oiled in any way. Our cats like to sit and worship heat sources (to be honest, some of our writers seem to as well). We're sometimes worried that they'll get too close and burn themselves. Fortunately, the heating element is well protected. If you need warmth as you're drifting off to sleep, but are adverse to accidentally starting a fire, this system boasts a built-in 8-hour timer. 

We were also pleased that it's on wheels, so lugging it room-to-room wasn't too much effort. In fact, we just rolled and carried on with our day. We feel like the NewAir 450 looks quite cute. It's inexpensive, and gets the heating job done. It would be a great addition to your holiday shopping list.
